Climbing sand dunes is about as fun as it gets for a kid. But the fun comes at a price - great effort. This painting shows two sisters in their trek up a steep dune. As they marched up the dune I watched their moods rhythmically change from determination to exasperation and back again. They seemed to counterbalance each other until, together, they reached the top. |
