Jim Heiser studied art and illustration at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League in New York City, and earned his B.A. at Duke University. Following a brief stint as an illustrator, Jim worked for a Fortune 500 printing and paper company. After a few years, Jim's love of art persuaded him to return to school. He earned a masters degree in art history with a concentration in old master drawing techniques. After graduation he focused on figurative drawings and exhibiting his artwork in galleries and juried shows.
